Today’s activity is to calculate your metabolic rate














METABOLIC RATE CALCULATOR

The basal metabolic rate or BMR is the number 
 of calories that your body uses each day to do normal bodily functions.

BMR depends on
1) Age
2) Weight (including muscle mass)
3) Gender
4) Athletic ability
5) Calorie intake

As shown in the image, the bulk of the calories are used by our 
body for basic functions.

Physical activity and digestion are distant second and third in line.
