Buddha Pournima - Go for the ultimate Freedom


In the creation of Freedom From Diabetes (FFD), Buddha's life and teachings have been THE BIGGEST INSPIRATION!

During multiple Vipassana programs there has been intense past life connections and insights that have shaped my life and contributed in creating the Vision, Values and culture at FFD the way it is.

 Would be revealing something very interesting today that hasn't been shared with many till date ...We have a detailed description of the FFD ARCHETYPE that fuels energy to us. To understand that, please READ the following SLOWLY, VISUALIZING the entire situation to connect with the spirit of FFD...

If Freedom From Diabetes was a human being, what would it be like?
This has been described in detail in our Concept Note FOUR YEARS back.
Would like to write it in detail a book someday when this movement reaches greater heights... It will be called The FFD Way!

So, the FFD Archetype is....
A 300 year old Buddhist monk who has the looks of a 30 year young person. He is 12 feet tall and has great shoulders with a muscular, athletic body!
He has been meditating for lifetimes and decides that enough of meditation, let me get into some massive social change.

He comes out of the meditation peacefully, washes his face, wear sports shoes, get a zen stick in his hand, starts walking, then starts running and then starts flying.
He lands in a village where people are already gathered to listen to him. He teaches, exercises, meditates with them, makes changes in their food and stays with them for some days. In this process the villagers transform from being unhealthy, obese, frail, on medications, tired, depressed to becoming healthy, fit, energetic, happy, positive souls. When the time is right to leave, he wears his sports shoes again, takes his stick, starts walking, running and flying. With him some inspired villagers join and they all together land in another village where people are again gathered to listen. As a team they work in this new village making masses healthy and then take off to another village. And this process goes on and on, such that later the followers start doing the work, independently in various villages/ towns and the monk sits in one place in deep meditation again, totally connected with all that is happening and energizing such that it builds into one of the greatest health movement across the planet.

Our work is invisibly fueled by THIS ARCHETYPE!
I personally derive huge energies from this and Buddha.

One of Buddha's greatest teachings are related to the FOUR BRAHMA-VIHARAS -
Maitri (loving friendliness), Mudita (appreciate joy), Karuna (compassion) and Upekka (equanimity).

This has become the base of our Intensive, Residential Programs and all our work.

On this auspicious and energetically powerful day there is remote meditation planned that you join in at 10 PM for 21 minutes.

End time: 10:21 am

Instructions for the meditation are simple. Sit in one place peacefully, with eyes closed and watch your breath, listen to sounds and your body sensations. Become sensitive to the massive energies that are present in the atmosphere today when many more people meditate together.

Today’s special freedom story!


Hello, myself Jaya Kedia from Nagpur. I am a homemaker.

I was detected with diabetes on 22nd August 2017.. I had been 
taking 3 tablets in a day. My Hba1c was 11.9.

 I enrolled into the intensive program [Batch 37] on 27th September 2017. 
By then my Hba1c dropped to.8.6.. And by 4th January 2018, 
it reduced to 5.4 .

By 27th September 2017, my weight was 73 . After joining 
Intensive Program, my all the medicines were stopped within 
7 days. I have lost 20kgs weight in the interim and my weight 
is down to 53 Kgs.

Today, on 28th of April 2018, I have cleared my Glucose Tolerance 
Test and have been freed from the malaise known as diabetes by 
following the dietary regimen and making the requisite lifestyle changes 
given by the intensive FFD programme.

I would like to thank my FFD Doctor Taruna Talreja who monitored 
my sugar levels and guided me effectively to relieve me from my 
medication. Also, special thanks to my mentor Suman Nair, who 
encouraged me to stay motivated and kept a hold on my diet. Last but 
not the least, my family, my husband and my son, who supported me 
wholeheartedly in my endeavour by remaining positive about my 
progress throughout.

It goes without saying that the brainchild behind FFD, that is 
Dr. Pramod Tripathi deserves considerable applause for devising 
such a novel programme that has helped and continues to help 
numerous diabetics in getting rid of their medication by simply 
altering their consumption habits and avoiding a certain set of 
deleterious foodstuffs.

आजची खास मुक्ति कथा:
ग्लूकोस टोलरेंस टेस्ट CLEARED
हैलो, मैं जया केडिया, नागपुर से। मैं एक गृहिणी हूं. मुझे 22 अगस्त 2017 को मधुमेह  है इसका पता चला था .. मैं एक दिन में 3 गोलियां ले रही थी। मेरा Hba1c 11.9 था।

मैंने 27 सितंबर 2017 को  Intensive Program [बैच 37] में खुदका रेजिस्ट्रेशन किया। तब तक मेरा Hba1c 8.6 हो गया .. और 4 जनवरी 2018 तक, यह 5.4 हो गया.

27 सितंबर 2017 तक, मेरा वजन 73kg था। इंटेंसिव्ह प्रोग्रॅम में शामिल होने के बाद, मेरी सभी टेबलेट 7 दिनों के भीतर बंद हो गयी थी। मैंने 20 किलो वजन कम किया है और अभी मेरा वजन 53kg  है।
आज, 28 अप्रैल 2018 को, मैंने GLUCOSE TOLERANCE TEST पास कर लिया है और आहार का पालन करके और  FFD के इंटेन्सिव्ह कार्यक्रम द्वारा आवश्यक जीवनशैली में बदलाव करके खुदको मधुमेह से मुक्त कर दिया है।

मैं अपने FFD डॉक्टर तरुना तलरेजा को धन्यवाद देना चाहता हूं जिन्होंने मेरी sugar के स्तर पर नजर रखी और मुझे मेरी दवा से छुटकारा पाने के लिए प्रभावी ढंग से निर्देशित किया। इसके अलावा, मेरे सलाहकार सुमन नायर के लिए विशेष धन्यवाद, जिन्होंने मुझे प्रेरित रहने के लिए प्रोत्साहित किया और मेरे आहार पर control करवाया। आखिरी लेकिन, मेरे परिवार, मेरे पति और मेरे बेटे, जिन्होंने मेरे पूरे प्रयास में सकारात्मक प्रगति करके मुझे अपने प्रयास में पूरी तरह से समर्थन दिया।

Refreshing Recipe: Minty lentil salad

Have you tried the salad with masoor. Try this 
Minty Lentil Salad 
and share your feedback with us.

1 cup soaked masoor
1 tomato chopped
2 spring onions sliced

1 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
1 tbsp apple cider vinegar
2 teaspoons chopped mint
¼ tsp ground cumin
Pinch of red chilli powder

Put the lentils/ masoor in a pot. Cover with water. Bring to boil. 
Cook until the lentils are just tender. Drain and keep aside to cool. 
Gently toss the lentils with tomato, onions and salt. 
Put the dressing ingredients in a jar and shake well. 
Drizzle over the salad and toss gently to combine.

आजची पाककृती! 
मिन्टी लीन्टिल सलाद

1 कप भिगोकर मसूर
1 टमाटर कटा हुआ
2 वसंत प्याज कटा हुआ

1 बड़ा चम्मच extra virgin olive oil
1 बड़ा चम्मच apple cider vinegar
2 चम्मच कटा हुआ mint
¼ छोटा चम्मच जीरा
लाल मिर्च पाउडर का पिंच

दिशा निर्देश:
मसूर को एक बर्तन में रखो। पानी के साथ उबाले। जब तक मसूर सॉफ्ट 
नहीं होती है तब तक कुक करें। निकालें और ठंडा करने के लिए अलग रखें। 
टमाटर, प्याज और नमक के साथ मसूर को धीरे-धीरे टॉस करें। एक जार में
ड्रेसिंग सामग्री रखो और अच्छी तरह से हिलाओ। सलाद पर अच्छेसे स्प्रिंकल 
करें और उसे मिक्स करने के लिए धीरे से टॉस करें ।

Today’s yummy & Healthy recipe : Sprouts chatpata

Try this mouth watering chatpat recipe of 
sprouts and share your feedback with us.



1/4 cup each - Moong, Mataki, Red Chawali, 
 Horse Gram, Chana sprouts
1/4 cup each- For Dry Tadka of methi seeds, 
 mustard, hing, chilly powder, curry leaves
1/2 cup each of finely chopped Onion, Tomato, 
Coriander and Scrapped Coconut
Taste Makers - Lemon Juice or Chat Masala or Dry 
Mango powder or grated raw mango or tamarind pulp and 
pinch of Stevia Optional.(any one) Rock Salt to Taste.


In a pan make dry tadka and saute onion Tomato and 
all Sprouts, and stir fry, add taste maker, mix well and switch 
off the gas. Garnish with Coconut and Coriander and 
serve Hot.......

नीट मिसळून गॅस बंद करा ... 
वरून खोबरे आणि कोथिंबीर घालून सजवा .

Friday fitness session

Most people talk about losing weight, 
but if you want to GAIN weight?


1) While losing weight is a science, gaining healthy weight 
without raising sugars is an art that has to be individually mastered.

2) This is only possible through a systematic personal evaluation 
of which foods work for you to keep you satiated and do not increase 
sugars even when the quantity is increased.

3) Overall an increase in quality (read as calorie dense foods) such 
as foods rich in protein and healthy fats combined with 25% of 
carbohydrate will do the trick for most. Do consult with the dieticians 
for your customised plan.

4) Performing exercise which led to weight loss will make things difficult.
It is critical to switch to less cardiovascular exercise and more 
resistance training such as gym or resistance bands in  this phase. 
This will help the body build muscle.

5) Gaining weight in muscle terms is a slow process. It can take upto 
a month for results to show as muscle strength initially happens without 
an increase in size. Only after 6-8 weeks will the body initiate muscle 
hypertrophy that too in response to medium to heavy weight training. 
Do be patient and let's the body take its own course.

वृद्धी प्राप्त करना एक कला है | जिसे व्यक्तिगत रूप से महारत हासिल करना होता है।

2) यह केवल व्यवस्थित व्यक्तिगत मूल्यांकन के माध्यम से संभव है कि कौन से 
खाद्य पदार्थ आपको तृप्त रखने के लिए काम करते हैं और मात्रा बढ़ने 
पर भी sugar नहीं बढ़ाते हैं।

3) कुल मिलाकर गुणवत्ता में वृद्धि (कैलोरी घने खाद्य पदार्थों के रूप में पढ़ें) 
जैसे प्रोटीन में समृद्ध खाद्य पदार्थ और स्वस्थ वसा 25% कार्बोहाइड्रेट के साथ 
मिलकर अधिकांश के लिए चाल करेंगे। अपनी अनुकूलित योजना के लिए 
आहार विशेषज्ञों से परामर्श लें।

4) व्यायाम करने से वजन कम हो गया,तो इससे चीजें मुश्किल हो जाएंगी। 
इस चरण में कम कार्डियोवैस्कुलर व्यायाम और जिम या प्रतिरोध बैंड जैसे 
अधिक प्रतिरोध/ रेझिस्टन्स के प्रशिक्षण पर स्विच करना महत्वपूर्ण है। 
इससे शरीर को मांसपेशियों का निर्माण करने में मदद मिलेगी।

5) मांसपेशी में वजन प्राप्त करना एक धीमी प्रक्रिया है। परिणाम दिखाने के 
लिए एक महीने तक लग सकते हैं क्योंकि मांसपेशियों की ताकत शुरू में आकार 
में वृद्धि के बिना होती है। केवल 6-8 सप्ताह के बाद शरीर मांसपेशी हाइपरट्रॉफी शुरू 
करेगा जो मध्यम से भारी वजन प्रशिक्षण के जवाब में भी होगा। धीरज रखो और 
चलो शरीर अपना स्वयं का समय लेते हैं।

Hello, myself Hitesh Javeri from Mumbai, age 55 years
I was diabetic since 2013. I was taking 2 tablets in a day. In the month

Today's practice- Meditation

To meditate, first choose a place away from distractions 
and a time free from interruptions. 

A good time would be before sunrise and also before going to 
sleep at night. Once the practice is established, it can be 
practiced without any constraint of place or time.

Choose a posture which allows stillness of the body and 
keeps one alert from becoming drowsy or restless. Sitting cross 
legged on the ground is the most widely used posture. In case of 
physical limitations, chairs, backrests and meditation benches may 
be used. It is a good practice to gently stretch the body before sitting.

The back must be kept straight, allowing the spine to assume its 
full natural upright state. Keep the entire body free of muscular tension. 
Jaws to be kept slightly apart and unclenched, the tongue slightly 
curved and it’s tip touching the roof of the mouth. Eyes may be kept 
gently shut or slightly open.

Hands may be placed on the knees with palms facing upwards. 
Alternately, the right palm may be placed on the left palm and 
resting on the lap.

Once established in a comfortable position, take a few deep 
breaths to blow all tensions away. Breathe normally and bring your 
attention to the breath. Observe with full awareness your breath going 
in and breathe going out. You may initially observe that the awareness 
of the breath remains short lived for a few seconds, and the mind 
wanders away. Without any irritation, anger or negativity, gently 
bring it back to your breath.

Continue this practice for around 15 minutes. As you get more 
established in the technique, your awareness time will increase and 
you may gradually increase the meditation time. The mind normally 
dwells in the past or in the future. This technique aims to compose and 
clear the mind by bringing attention to a single point of focus, the breath. 
This automatically brings the mind to the present moment, allowing it to 
stay centred in the here and now, fully alert and present. As mindfulness 
develops, one is more focused and develops equanimity 
leading to a more joyful life.
